Jonathan den Otter has over 15 years of experience in the art world, with a particular focus on works on paper, and founded Den Otter Fine Art in 2021. After studying art history in Leiden and Amsterdam, Jonathan joined the Prints department at Christie's in London in 2014. Shortly thereafter, he became a Cataloguer and later Specialist and Head of Sale in the Old Master Drawings department. In this capacity, Jonathan worked on a large number of auctions, including the I.Q. van Regteren Altena sale (2014-2015). After 7 years at Christie's, Jonathan moved back to his native Rotterdam where he founded Den Otter Fine Art in 2021. The gallery specializes in old master prints and drawings, as well as 19th-century, modern, and contemporary works on paper, and regularly sells to museums worldwide (including the Rijksmuseum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Boijmans Van Beuningen, Fondation Custodia, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston). Jonathan regularly participates in trade fairs including the PAN, Amsterdam and the Paris Print Fair, Paris.
