Mentink & Roest Antiquairs was founded in 1989 by Theo Mentink and Bert Roest. They established their restoration studio and showroom at the Taalstraat in Vught. In 2008, Menno Hoencamp took over the daily management of both founders: this guarantees continuity and Mentink & Roest moved to a monumental farmhouse in the Betuwe region of Ingen.
From an early age, fine mechanics, beauty of antiques and art attracted Menno. He decided to turn his passion into his profession. He trained as a precision instrument maker at the Kamerlingh Onnes in Leiden. After that he specialized in antique clockwork restoration at the famous West Dean college in England. After five years he returned to the Netherlands, established himself as a self-employed person and took over the daily management of Mentink & Roest in 2008. With a lot of love and passion for the profession and history, our collection has been built up in museum quality. Our company is specialized and is fascinated by special and complicated timepieces from the 16th to the 19th century.
Mentink & Roest has been a participant in the international TEFAF Art and Antiques Fair in Maastricht and Pan Amsterdam for more than 25 years.
Mentink & Roest is also a member of CINOA (Confédération Internationale des Négociants en Oeuvres d'Art).
